For two years running now I’ve entered, and been accepted into QSF’s annual flash fiction anthology. The goal was to write a story in 300 words or less. Last years’ theme was Migration and this year’s is Innovation.
Since the new one’s available for preorder today (I think? I’m on the other side of a four day black out so things are a little off) I figure I would do what I meant to do last years which was share the story that I decided not to submit. So here’s an untitled piece that tried to follow the theme of “migration.” For the one that was accepted, you’ll have to pick up that book. And while you’re at it, maybe preorder this year’s too.
